Dhamma Pasava
Intermountain Vipassana Association

The meditation center is located on 256 acres, nestled in a valley surrounded by mountains just outside the small town of Lava Hot Springs, ID. The area has 4 seasons, is quiet and picturesque year-round.

Larger nearby cities are Pocatello, ID, Salt Lake City, UT, Jackson Hole, WY and Boise, ID.

The center property was purchased in August 2016, and the first 10-day course was held in March 2017. Since its beginnings, activity has increased from two 10-day courses in 2017 to sixteen 10-day courses, one 20-day course and one 8-day course (the latter two are for established students) scheduled for 2022.

Like all Vipassana meditation centers worldwide in the tradition of S.N. Goenka and Sayagyi U Ba Khin, the Intermountain Vipassana Center is an all-volunteer run organization that operates through the donations of students who have already taken one or more courses. The center holds 501c3 non-profit status.

Current capacity of the center is 59 students in colder months and up to 72 students with tenting from May to October. Step-by-step the center continues to increase in structure as well as in support from the volunteer community of students who have previously taken courses. At full build-out it will accommodate 120 students and 30 servers.

The Center is currently in Phase 2 of Development: building 40 Private cottages.
